I really like this author. Some of my favorite books are by her but this was not one of her greatest. It is a good/clean read but I felt that it lacked depth. She seemed to gloss over the entire story which had potential-but she never expanded on anything enough to help feel apart of the story.
Anita is absolutely my favorite LDS fiction author. She can't write fast enough for me! Every book gets 5 stars! Never have been disappointed.
What a book, I have always enjoyed stories of the Titanic and Anita has done it again...She always manages to br.ing the characters to life and puts you right into the story. Anita has an amazing writing process and I marvel at her background knowledge.Every book I have read of hers seems to bring out one subject that really pertains to life . Having had some of her stories been a part of my life she seems to be right on in handling the situations. Great author and another wonderful book, Thanks Anita
It was hard to understand why the main character was taken in this book. She had left her home and family and traveled to a foreign country to study midwifery. But in the end it was Ella`s story about how she survived the sinking of the Titanic.
Great book!
I really enjoyed reading this book. Anita Stansfield kept you in suspense as to what would happen to the Irene and Ella throughout the entire book. She used historical fact about the sinking of the titanic and the rescue. I never thought about how the men who rescued those in the lifeboats and how coming upon the lifeboats with so few surviors and not seeing the Titanic at all. I woould recomend this book to anyone.
Being an Anita Stansfield I really enjoyed this book. I was drawn in to the story immediately. I have cried on many occasions while reading her books. But this one being based on the Titanic had me in tears through most of it. I enjoyed how she wove this historical event with fictional characters. A really good book about the Titanic and the people who were aboard it.
