The wow part of this book is these are real/actual names, places & professions that were changed to protect their identity.

Reading this book really brought out a lot of mixed feelings. As a former crisis/school social worker more so from the adult clients (male/female) I heard this same true-to-life story time/time again.

I love the book cover, the font size, paper & writing style. This could be true-to-life humorous teen but serious action packed, provocative book. Never a dull moment. Easy to read & follow from start/finish. Lots of twists/turns & it will keep you on your toes. A great set of characters. No grammar errors or out of line story sequence. No doubt in my mind this is a very east rating of 5 stars.

I didn't think Liana could top the first book,(Reckless 15) but she did. Another based on a true story nail biter! I'm not sure how one young girl could have endured so much. I'm ready for Part 2 please! I highly recommend! HIGHLY!
This book sucked me in during the first paragraph. Although I was a bit confused at first about who some of the characters were, I was able to catch up quickly. A fast review of volume 1 (Reckless Little 15) and I was fully engrossed.

While this book was a fast read, it was not an easy one. Carleigh's story is based on true events. Some of them so horrific, I had to occasionally put the book down and look for something fun for a few hours.

After being abused, sexually, physically and emotionally for years, by age 16, Carleigh has a warped sense of right and wrong. She makes decisions that to her seem logical but have the adult reader screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! And unfortunately the abuse of her childhood and early teens continues in this book.

I found myself alternating between wanting to rescue Carleigh from her life, help her recover and set her on a safer path and wanting to throttle her for some of her decisions. There was no doubt how I felt about her husband Richard. He is scum of the earth and only got worse in each scene he was in.

I'm both looking forward to and dreading the next book. In the meantime, I have ordered volume 1 to fill in any of the little subtleties I may have missed from reading them out of order.

While this book is written from the perspective of a 16 year old, this book is NOT for teenagers. I think it's recommended reading for anyone who cares for kids who are or one day will be teens. What you see on the surface may not reflect what is going on inside. This book is also not a good choice for anyone who has triggers of the past from reading about sexual abuse and rape. In fact, if I had one complaint about this book, is that the sex and abuse scenes are too explicit. I'm not saying they should be glossed over, but they are detailed enough that an abuser could get pleasure from them.
